As 2025 draws to a close, we’re in “winter mode” at the Museum: Not gone, but in a sort of hibernation you might say. The Museum welcomed its last walk-in visitors December 6, and will open on Friday and Saturday afternoons, beginning April 10. Keep an eye out for announcements about the opening, the next exhibit, and 2026 events.
Meanwhile, we encourage you to visit our online store, open 24/7. Remember that you can arrange for local pickup and avoid shipping charges when you checkout. The store features books, calendars, note cards, Curtis Turner hats/visors, maps, ornaments, movies, and photos and paintings you can hang. And if you’d like to see before you buy, we’ll do our best to accommodate: call (540-745-3247) or email (info@floydhistoricalsociety.org) and we’ll arrange to open the doors for your visit. We’re glad to do it, so don’t be shy!
As always, our website never sleeps, not even in winter. Visit at floydhistoricalsociety.org and browse at your own pace. You’re welcome to call or write with questions and/or suggestions. And if you’re not already a member, please come aboard; we’ve got room for more! (Membership information: https://floydhistoricalsociety.org/support/membership/)
Sincerely,
Your Floyd County Historical Society
